Books by Jeffrey A. Rasche

For 17 years, Abingdon Press published annual devotional books by Jeffrey Rasche that were marketed nationally by several denominations. (See below.)

Jeff is currently working on a memoir called, “A Pound of Clergy,” (based on the wise saying, “An ounce of mother is worth a pound of clergy”). The book is a look back at seminary as a preparation (or lack of preparation) for the experiences of being a first time pastor serving a rural church. (Read a sample chapter of “A Pound of Clergy”)

Pictured are some of the 17 annual “Devotional Companion” books written by Jeffrey Rasche for Abingdon Press, Nashville, TN. This ecumenical series was published nationally and marketed by multiple denominations, featuring weekly reflections on the scriptures of the International Lesson Series. Below is a typical back cover for the series..

Magazine and Newspaper Articles

Jeffrey Rasche’s articles have appeared in a wide variety of magazines and newspapers, including the article “All I Needed to Know About Marketing I Learned Fishing for Trout,” which appeared in “The Writer Magazine” and then was reprinted in the book, “The Writer’s Handbook.”

He is a frequent contributor to The Current Newspaper and it’s predecessor, The United Methodist Reporter, with articles appearing in both the national and regional issues.
